Setomaa has its own sanatorium -- the Värska Spa Resort. It's the only sanatorium in the world that uses mineral water and lake mud for treatments. The resort includes the Värska Water Park, where some of the pools use the same mineral water pumped directly from the ground. There is also a sauna complex at the water park. Setomaa, like old Võrumaa, has traditionally had smoke saunas. Incidentally, the smoke sauna tradition belongs to the UNESCO list of intangible heritage, just like the Seto leelo.
